Alexander Metelkin has over 25 years of experience in software development. Alexander began their career in 1994 as a Software Engineer at the Computing Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1998, they joined DialogueScience, Inc. as a Software Engineer & System Administrator, where they developed the first in the industry on-line virus checking service and designed and implemented a Web-based product activation. In 2001, they moved to CQG as a Software Developer/Project Architect, where they were responsible for full development lifecycle of multiple infrastructure projects for real-time financial data processing network. Alexander also improved scalability of the core data processing engine from running on a single Linux box to a cluster of boxes located in major financial centers worldwide. In 2015, they joined Lumen Technologies as a Lead Software Engineer, leading all phases of software development of real-time telemetry and data analytics applications using Agile methodology. Alexander also redesigned the core analytic engine to scale horizontally and performed deep code optimization, enabling data flow increase up to 10 times. Currently, they are a Senior Software Developer at Emporia, a role they have held since 2022.

Alexander Metelkin obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) between 1991 and 1997. Alexander also obtained a certification in Personal Software Process for Engineers from the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute in February 2003.
