Alexej Magura

Alexej Magura has worked in the tech industry since 2013. Alexej began their career as a DevOps at Icon Health and Fitness. In 2016, they joined RR Donnelley as a Developer II, and was promoted to Developer I. During their time there, they wrote applications in Perl, Python, and other languages to transform client input files into print/mail ready PDF/postscript/AFP files. Alexej also wrote Bash, M4, and C code and provided on-call support for projects marked for maintenance. In 2019, they moved to Ocavu as a DevOps Engineer, where they transitioned their stack from Docker-swarm and AWS to Kubernetes and Azure, and updated and improved their CI using modern syntax and more advanced tooling. Alexej also setup a Rancher server to act as a control/management pane for Kubernetes and created additional K8s clusters for Staging, QA and Dev environments. Currently, they are employed at Emporos as a DevOps Engineer.

Alexej Magura attended Laurel Ridge Community College from 2009 to 2011, where they studied Information Systems Technology. Alexej then attended Piedmont Virginia Community College from 2011 to 2012, where they also studied Information Systems Technology.
