Andres Marulanda

Andres Marulanda has worked as a Technician for Geek Squad and as an IT Manager and Implementation Specialist Team Lead for Emporos Systems Corporation since 2008. As an IT Manager, they have assessed infrastructure and application communication channels internally and externally, and designed and implemented infrastructure and application hardening methodologies, such as least privileges, firewalls policies, access control, SSO, IPS, and encryption. As an Implementation Specialist Team Lead, they have designed and implemented Point of Sale Systems, converted/installed Merchantsoft POS software, and investigated/supported queries, issues, and change requests raised by deployment projects, peers, project managers, and other workstreams.

Andres Marulanda obtained an Associate in Applied Science Computer Networking Administration from Gibbs College in Livingston, NJ in 2007. Andres then obtained a Cisco IT essentials certification. Andres is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of the People, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
