Heather Burns, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources, with their most recent role being Vice President of Human Resources at Empower Brands. Prior to that, they served as Chief Talent Officer and VP of Human Resources at Sigora Home, where they were responsible for talent management and HR strategy. Heather also held the position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group, where they implemented HR strategies and handled employee relations. Heather began their career at Circuit City Stores Inc. as an HR Manager. Overall, Heather's work experience demonstrates their expertise in HR management, talent acquisition, and employee relations.

Heather Burns, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, holds an MBA in Human Resources from Roosevelt University, which they obtained in 1997. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University, graduating in 1994. In terms of additional certifications, they achieved the SPHR certification from SHRM in 2010, and the SHRM-SCP certification in 2015.
