James Kurt

James Kurt is an experienced technical writer currently employed at Empower Federal Credit Union since May 2018, where responsibilities include designing and developing procedures, programs, and policies in collaboration with various stakeholders. Prior to this role, James taught as an adjunct professor at multiple institutions, including Niagara University, Buffalo State College, Canisius College, and the University at Buffalo, independently designing and instructing over 100 sections of 12 different college writing and literature courses. Additional experience includes serving as a faculty tutor at Canisius College, an editor at the University at Buffalo, and co-editor for a special issue of "theory@buffalo." James holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Ohio University.
