Michael Dove is currently the Head of Engineering at Empower, leading a growing and talented team that is creating the next generation of banking experiences for millennials in the US. Prior to their current role, Michael spent 5 years and 6 months at Outware Mobile, where they held various positions such as General Manager (Victoria), Head of Technology, Head of Software Development, Software Development Manager, and Program Tech Lead. During their time at Outware Mobile, Michael led an expert technology team comprising of developers within mobile and web, QA automation specialists and the market leading support team. Michael also worked within both the Melbourne IT Technology Leadership Team and the Outware Leadership Team to shape their technical leadership to deliver award winning experiences in mobile, web, conversational UI, and VR/AR. In their role as Director/Lead Software Engineer at Tullundra Pty Ltd, Michael spent 4 years and 3 months leading the software development team and liaising with business and technical stakeholders to define and educate them in development process. Michael also managed a team of developers working within a fast paced, highly motivated environment to deliver high profile, large stakes projects.
