Stephanie Lin is the Chief Marketing Officer of Empower, a high-growth financial technology company on a mission to solve access to affordable credit for everyday Americans. Stephanie has been with Empower for three years and four months, during which time they have launched one-of-a-kind features that help members get money instantly whenever they need it, save for the future, and rewrite their financial story. Empower is backed by Sequoia Capital and has been recognized in Apple’s list of "New Apps We Love," Time’s "Best Apps of the Year So Far,” and Real Simple’s Smart Money Awards.
Prior to joining Empower, Stephanie was the Vice President of Marketing at ipsy, where they were a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO. Stephanie was responsible for broad marketing initiatives spanning CRM, loyalty/retention, member engagement, ipsy brand management, creative, and editorial. Under Stephanie's leadership, ipsy closed a series B round of $100M with TPG and Sherpa in 2015.
Stephanie began their career as a Brand Management Intern at Burt's Bees before moving on to Old Navy, where they served as Company Planning Manager for two years.
Stephanie Lin has a MBA from Harvard Business School and a degree in Economics and Stephanie'story from Stanford University. At Harvard, they were co-president of the Retail Club and a member of the Marketing Club and Media & Entertainment Club. At Stanford, they were a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Resident Staff at Florence Moore Hall. Stephanie received the President's Award for Academic Excellence in 1998.
