Jennifer Nyhouse is the Vice President & Chief Internal Auditor at Empower Retirement. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in auditing and consulting, with a focus on process improvement and organizational change.

Jennifer began their career at KPMG LLP in 2004, where they spent 11 years working their way up to Director of Advisory Services. In this role, they led many successful process improvement projects in accounting and financial operations, including supply chain, procure to pay, monthly close, and human resources/payroll. Jennifer also managed a portfolio of internal audit relationships across multiple industries and oversaw the audit execution lifecycle from risk assessment to remediation.

In 2015, Jennifer left KPMG to join Empower Retirement as Vice President & Chief Internal Auditor. In this role, they are responsible for overall client satisfaction, executive communications, budgeting, and overseeing the audit execution lifecycle. Jennifer has also executed portions of an internal audit departmental transformation project, conducting a gap analysis and infusing best practices into the client’s enterprise-wide risk assessment and audit execution methodologies.

Jennifer Nyhouse has an MBA from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a BS in marketing from the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business.

They are on a team with Jonathan Kreider - SVP, Great-West Investments, Richard H. Linton, Jr. - President & COO, and Jay Shah - President, Personal Capital. Jennifer Nyhouse reports to Edmund F. Murphy III, President & CEO.
