Malik Stewart

Malik Stewart, M.Ed., serves as the Senior Director at Empower Schools, where responsibilities include partnering with school districts and community leaders to develop public school partnerships and governance structures, managing over $650K in resources to foster school innovation, and coordinating learning experiences to promote student-focused initiatives. Previously, Malik held the position of Program Director - North Texas at Reading Partners, providing literacy support to over 1,800 children across multiple school campuses. As Grants Director at the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth, Malik secured over $5 million in grant funding, and during tenure as Federal & Regulated Programs and School Improvement Manager at Red Clay Consolidated School District, managed over $85 million in grants. Early career experiences include directing the school improvement program at the Delaware Department of Education and managing financial resources as Assistant Director at Foundations, Inc. Malik holds a BA in Art Design from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and an M.Ed. in Education from Cabrini University.
