Gregory DiNome, PE has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Gregory started their career at Grumman Aerospace in 1984 as a VLSI Design Engineer, where they worked until 1987. In 1987, they became the owner of PE Controls, a BMS Design/Services Company, and held this role until 2015. In 2015, they joined US Energy Group as the Director of Engineering, a position they held until 2020. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering at Empowered Buildings, a role they started in September 2020. Throughout their career, Gregory has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the field of engineering.
Gregory DiNome, PE has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BEEE) from Manhattan College, which they obtained from 1981 to 1984. Gregory also holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (MEEE) from the same institution, which they completed from 1986 to 1990. Afterward, they pursued further education at New York University, where they earned a Facility Management Certificate in Facilities Planning and Management from 2004 to 2006. Prior to their college education, DiNome attended Herbert H Lehman College, CUNY for pre-engineering studies between 1979 and 1981.
In addition to their degrees, DiNome has obtained several certifications. Gregory is a Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and a Certified Power Quality Professional (CPQ), both granted by the Association of Energy Engineers. DiNome became a New York State Professional Engineer in November 2004, certified by the New York State Education Department. Gregory also holds the designation of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from the Association of Energy Engineers, which they achieved in January 2000.
