Aimee Bury

Aimee Bury, OTR/L, LSVT-BIG Certified, has a diverse work experience in the field of occupational therapy. Aimee currently holds the position of Occupational Therapist, Lead (Multi-site), Dx at EmpowerMe Wellness since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Legacy Healthcare Services as an Occupational Therapist starting from March 2021. Aimee also had a significant tenure at Encompass Health from September 2011 to June 2020, where they served as an Occupational Therapist, OTR/L. During their time at Encompass Health, they excelled in providing evaluation, treatment, and planning of care for patients across a variety of diagnoses such as orthopedic, Parkinson's disease, stroke, and cardiac conditions. Aimee also demonstrated strong leadership skills as the Co-Champion of the Parkinson's Disease Care Team, where they played a vital role in establishing patient care goals and hospital performance indicators.

Aimee Bury, OTR/L, LSVT-BIG Certified, holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy/Therapist from Rockhurst University (2009-2011) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Kansas (2000-2002). Aimee has additional certifications including Phlebotomist from EmpowerMe Wellness (obtained in 2022), LSVT-BIG Certified from LSVT Global, Inc. (obtained in March 2016), National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (obtained in March 2011), and Occupational Therapy License to practice in the state of Kansas from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (obtained in March 2011). Aimee also has certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) program, and S.T.O.P. Trainer–Corporate trainer certification in safe patient handling/mobilization and ergonomic safety, obtained from the American Heart Association, Crisis Prevention Institute, and Encompass Health, respectively.
