Brittany M. has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Brittany started their career in 2005 as a Medical Assistant at Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central FL, Inc., where they worked until 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as a Medical Assistant at Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida. In 2013, Brittany joined Peaceful Paths Domestic Violence Network as a Client Advocate & Outreach Educator until 2015. Brittany then pursued a career in Occupational Therapy, working as an Occupational Therapy Student at River Garden Senior Services and Brooks Rehabilitation in 2021. In 2022, they became a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Brooks Rehabilitation and continued in that role until 2023. Starting in October 2023, Brittany will take on a new role as the Clinical Director at EmpowerMe Wellness.
Brittany M. obtained their Associate of Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Keiser University between 2020 and 2021. Brittany holds multiple certifications, including being a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) obtained from the California Department of Consumer Affairs in December 2023 and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in March 2022. Brittany is also a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) from the STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH. Brittany obtained the AED/BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association in June 2020 and became an Associate Member of AOTA in March 2019.
