Empowerment Plan
Hannah Braun, MPA, currently serves as the Annual Giving Manager at Empowerment Plan and as a Local Coordinator at Educatius Group, overseeing international exchange students in Rochester Community Schools. Previous experience includes coaching JV cheerleading at Romeo Community Schools, working as a Grants Coordinator at Oakland Community College, and providing development support at Empowerment Plan. Hannah Braun has an extensive background in non-profit management from serving as Executive Director and Program Director at Camp Talahi, where responsibilities included strategic planning and program development. Additional roles include Lead Teacher at Heartfelt Impressions Learning Centers and Assistant Manager at American Eagle Outfitters. Hannah Braun holds a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Oakland University and degrees in Early Childhood Education from Rochester College and Macomb Community College.

Empowerment Plan
The Empowerment Plan is a Detroit-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the homeless community. Our goal is to help build a better life for those that have become trapped in the cycle of homelessness. We hire unhoused neighbors from local shelters to become full time seamstresses so that they can earn a stable income, find secure housing, and gain back their independence for themselves and for their families. The individual we hire are trained to manufacture a coat that transforms into a sleeping bag at night, and a bag when not in use. The coats are distributed to individuals experiencing homelessness at no cost to them through partnerships we have established with outreach organizations in communities around the nation. We believe in giving second chances to those who want it, and providing warmth to those who need it.
