Marc Comtois has had a diverse work experience over the years. Marc started their career as an Engineer at the American Maritime Officers Union in 1991 and worked there until 1995. Following that, they joined The Lightship Group as a Senior Engineer/Project Manager, where they showcased their technical expertise in equipment maintenance development and planning, vibration analysis, and other maintenance and corrective technologies. During their time at The Lightship Group, they also served as a project manager for a US Navy sub-contract. In 2013, Marc started working at Emprise Corporation as a Sr. Engineer/Technical Lead, where they are currently employed.
Marc Comtois attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering. In 1991, they also earned the certification of Third Assistant Engineer, Unlimited from the U.S. Coast Guard. Later, from 2003 to 2005, Marc pursued a Master of Arts degree in History at Providence College. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Vibration Analyst - Category II from the Vibration Institute and as a Reliability Engineer (NAVSEA RCM I & II) from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA).
