Chris Cauthen has over 30 years of experience in software engineering. Chris began their career at Lockheed Space Operations Company, where they developed real-time software for integrated hardware control systems used to test the Space Shuttle. Chris then moved on to work as a software engineer at BNR, where they contracted with Nortel Networks/Bell Northern Research for over three years and developed self-diagnostics for the IRTU. Chris then joined Paragon Interface, Inc as a Principal Software Engineer, where they developed a REXX compiler and runtime engine and created a Graphic Data Mapping application. Chris later worked as a Software Engineer at Nortel Networks, where they developed software for DSLAMs and created an object interface for third-party software. Chris then joined Alidian Networks as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on DWDM multi-service add/drop multiplexers and improved the Command Line Interface (CLI) implementation. Chris later moved on to Wave7 Optics as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on embedded software and management platforms. Most recently, Chris has been working as a Senior Software Engineer at Empyrean Solutions. Overall, their experience spans a wide range of software development roles and technologies.
Chris Cauthen attended Southern Polytechnic State University from 1984 to 1987, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering Technology.
