Ilya Averyanov

Ilya Averyanov has extensive work experience in the field of software development and leadership roles. Ilya currently works as an Erlang developer at EMQ Technologies since 2021. Prior to this, they were employed at Spectrum from 2016 to 2021, where they held the position of Tech Leader and Talent Acquisition Specialist. At Spectrum, they were involved in the development of A2P and Mobile messaging applications for leading Russian mobile operators. Ilya was also responsible for hiring development specialists and building teams and processes.

Before joining Spectrum, Ilya worked at FB Group from 2013 to 2016 as a Tech Leader. Their responsibilities included developing high-load services and creating a unified environment for Ruby/Rails applications. Prior to that, they were a Team Leader at FUN BOX from 2011 to 2013.

In 2010, Ilya worked at Yandex as a Perl Developer, where they developed a distributed system for aggregating and analyzing logs from thousands of servers. Their earlier experience includes working as a Developer at Skript from 2006 to 2010, where they developed server-side highload software for a dating portal using Perl, Erlang, and MySQL.

Ilya Averyanov's education history includes earning a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ulyanovsk State University, which they completed between 2000 and 2006. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Fundamental Algebra at the same university, completing it from 2006 to 2009.
