Sebastian Bättig has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sebastian is currently the Head Legal for EMS Group, starting in February 2020. Prior to this, they worked at LafargeHolcim for 10 years, where they held various roles including General Counsel Trading and Senior Legal Counsel for M&A / Capital Market Transactions. Sebastian also had a brief assignment to Holcim Trading S.A. in Madrid. In 2018, they were a Young Leader at the American Swiss Foundation. Before that, they worked as a Lawyer at MME Legal | Tax | Compliance from 2007 to 2010. Sebastian started their career as a Trainee Management Advisory at PwC Switzerland in 2006, and also served as a Judicial Clerk at the District Court in the Canton of Zurich. Sebastian began their legal career at MME Legal | Tax | Compliance in 2005.

Sebastian Bättig has a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Zurich, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. In 2007, they were admitted to the Swiss and Zurich Bar Association as an Attorney-at-Law. Sebastian pursued further education at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance CFO. In 2013, they attended the Holcim Leadership Seminar at IMD in Lausanne.
