Andrei Vacariu

Andrei Vacariu is a Senior Software Developer at emtelligent since January 2018, focusing on the implementation and research of natural language processing (NLP) models for medical applications, along with regular software development for customer solutions. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at SFU Natural Language Laboratory from September 2014 to December 2017, where Andrei improved data visualization techniques and implemented user account management. As a Data Science Intern and Consultant at Aida Software Corp from February 2017 to October 2017, Andrei developed neural network models for sentence modeling, and previously worked as a Software Developer at ACD Systems from May 2013 to January 2015, automating server deployments and enhancing development infrastructure. Andrei holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Simon Fraser University, completed between 2011 and 2017.
