Chris Ghanem has a diverse work experience in the waste management industry. Chris started their career as a Senior Operations Engineer at Veolia in 2005 and worked there until 2010. Chris then joined SUEZ as a Technical Commercial Director from 2010 to 2016, followed by a role as General Manager from 2016 to 2022. Currently, they are the Head of Operations at Emterra Group, responsible for overseeing four strategic facilities in Metro Vancouver and managing profit and loss.
Chris Ghanem completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Damascus University, which they attended from 1999 to 2004. After that, they pursued further education at Strathclyde Business School and obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Chris studied at Strathclyde Business School from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, Chris Ghanem obtained a DEI Builder Certificate from MESH/diversity in June 2023.
