Carl Muñana

Carl Muñana has had a long and varied career in the fields of international studies, social impact and innovation, and microfinance. Carl began their career in 2002 as Director of Voxiva, Inc., a leading innovator of MHealth solutions in the U.S. and emerging markets. In 2007, they took on the role of Director at the American School of Madrid. In 2008, they became Director of MicroVest Capital Funds, one of the first private microfinance investment firms in the U.S. In 2011, they took on the role of Director at EmzingoIU. In 2013, they took on the role of CEO at the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Group). In 2014, they became Director of the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Georgetown University. In 2016, they became Director of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame and Chairperson of Global Citizen Year. In 2017, they took on the role of Director at Oxfam America. Carl also served as an Advisor for BekaFinance from 2010-2011.

Carl Muñana received their Masters in Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management between 1980 and 1982, with a focus in Finance, Marketing, and International Business. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Classics from the University of Notre Dame between 1974 and 1978.
