David Seftel

Co-Founder & CEO at Enable Biosciences

David Seftel is the Co-Founder and CEO of Enable Biosciences. David has dedicated their career to improving healthcare through technology and innovation.

David's journey in healthcare started at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). David then moved to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), where they worked on developing new ways to combat infectious diseases. It was during this time that David realized the potential of using technology to improve healthcare.

David then went on to Stanford University School of Medicine, where they worked on developing new medical technologies. After a few years at Stanford, David moved to the National Science Foundation (NSF), where they worked on developing new ways to use technology to improve healthcare.

After a few years at the NSF, David moved to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), where they worked on developing new ways to use technology to improve healthcare for patients with diabetes and other chronic diseases.

In 2001, David left the NIH to join NASA's Ames Research Center, where they worked on developing new ways to use technology to improve healthcare for astronauts. In 2003, they left NASA to join Enable Biosciences, where they have been working ever since.

David has also served as the Medical Director / Track Physician at Golden Gate Fields and as the Chairperson of the Medical Informatics Committee at San Mateo Medical Center. David is currently a Partner at Vituity Practice Management.
