Alaa Ahmad has a strong background in clinical pharmacology, with over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Alaa began their career at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they served as the Associate Director of Clinical Pharmacology from May 2005 to October 2009, which was their highest position at that company.

Alaa Ahmad obtained a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2002 to 2005.
