Cody Sheppard

Cody Sheppard is an experienced scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Analytical Method Development at Enanta Pharmaceuticals since November 2022. Previous roles include Science Director at BelCosta Labs and Co-Science Director at Cannalysis, as well as positions at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Research Chemist/Associate Research Fellow, and at Battelle as a Research Chemist. Cody began a career in medicinal chemistry with a co-op at GlaxoSmithKline. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of South Carolina-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from North Georgia College and State University. Specialization involves anti-viral drug discovery, with a focus on hit and lead generation targeting novel host targets and generating hypothesis-driven structure-activity relationships.
