Scott Mitchell

Scott Mitchell has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Scott currently serves as the Vice President of Chemistry at Enanta Pharmaceuticals since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Vice President of Chemistry at Silverback Therapeutics from 2021 to 2022. Scott also held various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Senior Research Scientist II from 2010 to 2022, Senior Director from 2020 to 2021, and Principal Scientist from 2018 to 2021. Before joining Gilead Sciences, they worked as a Senior Research Fellow at CGI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2002 to 2010. Scott also has experience as a Senior Scientist II at Neurogen Corporation from 2000 to 2002 and as a Senior Research Scientist at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services from 1999 to 2000. Scott began their career as a Research Scientist at Novartis from 1992 to 1994 and at Rockefeller University from 1989 to 1992. Scott's academic background includes being a Graduate Student at The University of Arizona Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry from 1994 to 1999.

Scott Mitchell attended Trinity College-Hartford from 1985 to 1989, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Arizona from 1994 to 1999, specializing in Organic Chemistry and obtaining a Ph.D. degree.
