Michele Harradence is Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the Gas Transmission and Midstream Business Unit for Enbridge. Her primary responsibility is to deliver best-in-class safety, environmental and operationally excellent performance across the Company’s gas assets throughout North America.
Before being named to her current position, she served as Vice-President Operations and EHS in Western Canada where she led Spectra Energy in the consolidation of Operations and EHS into a unified organizational structure. Michele joined Spectra Energy in 2014 and established a new Operations Leadership Team to drive operationally excellent performance, and revamped an accountability management program to align functions in realizing business and operational goals. Michele is a principled leader in safety and has been integral to the company’s safety performance journey.
Prior to joining Spectra Energy, Michele served as General Manager of Shell’s Sarnia Manufacturing Centre in Ontario. She worked for Shell in Canada since 1998 holding a number of increasingly responsible roles and has sat on several business leadership teams in Shell including Shell’s Heavy Oil Leadership Team, Upstream Americas Contracting and Procurement Leadership Team and North American Retail Leadership Team.
In 2012, Michele chaired the Nunavut Study Group of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference.
Michele obtained her degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
