Zahra Mirafzali

Zahra Mirafzali has a long and varied work experience. Zahra began their career in 2003 as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University. In 2005, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Encapsula NanoSciences, a specialty company focused on providing research, development and manufacturing expertise in the production of lipid-based nanoparticles. In 2011, they became the Chairwoman of the Advisory Board Council-MSPS Program at Middle Tennessee State University, where they met with the MSPS director and faculty representatives to discuss directions and offer advice on major issues, as well as help the college provide enrichment experiences for faculty and students.

Zahra Mirafzali obtained their MBA from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management between 2003 and 2005, with a focus in Marketing, Finance and Entrepreneurship. Zahra also obtained two PH.D.s from Michigan State University between 1998 and 2003, one in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) and the other in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
