Ignacio de Colmenares is the current Chairman, MD & President at Ence Energia y Celulosa. Ignacio has also been a member of the investment committee at Artá Capital since 2016. Prior to that, they were the CEO of ISOFOTON, a Spanish company in the solar panel industry from 2008 to 2010. During their time as CEO, they oversaw the internationalisation of the company in Italy, France and Germany, as well as the technological improvement of the company's photovoltaic cells. Ignacio also re-engineered the company's manufacturing processes in order to double output. In 2010, they left ISOFOTON to join GLobal Steel Wire as CEO. Global Steel Wire is the largest integrated manufacturer of high-carbon wire rod, drawn wiring and cabling in southern Europe. Under Colmenares' leadership, the company broke into the technical automotive market and became the provider of 80% of the cables of the world's longest bridges in Scandinavia, Asia and Europe. The company also specialised in drawn wiring for agricultural gardening products (meshes, barbed wire), achieving significant growth in Europe and in large-scale distribution. In 2004, Global Steel Wire went public. Colmenares left Global Steel Wire in 2008 to join ISOFOTON as CEO.
Ignacio de Colmenares has a Green Belt Six Sigma certification from RG, a Master of Business Administration from IESE Business School, and a degree in law from Universidad Central de Barcelona.
