Joe Wong

Joe Wong has diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joe started their career as a Senior Consultant at Accenture, where they focused on Property and Casualty Insurance companies and managed large software implementations. Joe then worked at Ernst and Young as a Manager, specializing in Property & Casualty Insurance Policy and Bank Loan Origination processing.

Joe went on to co-found Novem Technology, a web technologies development company, where they were responsible for daily operations, client services, and sales. Joe then co-founded Effect Ripple, a company that helped brands develop effective online communication plans for social media networks.

In 2010, Joe joined Aviva Systems Biology as a Director of Operations. Joe managed day-to-day operations for distribution, IT, administration, and HR groups, and oversaw laboratory facilities. Joe implemented various systems and platforms, resulting in cost reduction, increased compliance rates, and improved customer satisfaction.

Joe then worked as the Director of Operations at GenWay Biotech, where they managed two service lines - a GMP manufacturer for niche market proteins and antibodies and a CLIA lab for sample validation.

Joe continued their career at Truvian as a Senior Manager Operations, focusing on developing the next-gen blood testing platform and managing facilities, labs, and warehouse operations.

Currently, Joe is the Associate Director of Operations at Encodia, a high-growth start-up developing next-generation protein sequencing technology. Joe plays a crucial role in driving new biological understanding, impacting drug discovery and development, diagnostics, and more.

Joe Wong attended the University of Iowa from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Joe then went on to study at the USC Marshall School of Business from 2005 to 2007, completing an EMBA program.
