Donna Ackley (Tuman) has extensive experience in data analysis and engineering, currently serving as a Big Data Engineer/Analyst at Encompass Insurance Allstate since January 2000. In this role, Donna is the Data Steward for several databases and a Subject Matter Expert for the Encompass Data Warehouse and Hadoop Analytics Ecosystem. Previous roles at Encompass include Information Analyst, Systems Analyst, and Data Warehouse Manager, where challenges included data quality issues and the migration of processes from Oracle to Hadoop. Prior to Encompass, experience includes roles at CNA Insurance and Andersen Consulting, focusing on systems analysis, data modeling, and training. Donna holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy.
