Thillakan Saba

Thillakan Saba has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Starting in 2005, Thillakan worked as a Software Engineer and intern at Excel Technology Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, where they were involved in researching and documenting user requirements for laser marking software. In 2007, they joined Aeturnum Lanka (Pvt) Ltd as a Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the re-architecting and integration of several modules in a web application, utilizing technologies such as JSF, Spring, Hibernate, Jasper Report, and MySql.

In 2008, Thillakan joined iTree as a Software Engineer before eventually transitioning to the role of Tech Lead/Senior Software Engineer. During their tenure at iTree, they played a key role in software development and leadership, contributing to the company until 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Thillakan worked as a Senior Developer (Contract) at Telstra Health and later as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at News Corp Australia. These roles allowed him to further enhance their technical skills and expertise.

Currently, Thillakan serves as a Principal Engineer at Encompass Corporation, starting in 2022. This position signifies their seniority and expertise in the field of software engineering.

Thillakan Saba completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo, which they pursued from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained several certifications including MongoDB Certified Developer from MongoDB in 2020, Accelerating Through Angular 2 from Code School in 2016, Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in 2012, Sun Certified Business Component Developer (SCBCD) from Sun Microsystems in 2008, Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJP) from Sun Microsystems in 2007, and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) - Developing and Implementing Windows-based Applications with Microsoft Visual C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET from Microsoft in 2007.
