Bill Barnes

Bill Barnes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Bill is currently working as the Director of Clean Energy Solutions at Encore Renewable Energy. Prior to this, they worked at Pisgah Partners Limited as a Director, where they advised clients on investment in energy assets and conducted corporate investigations. Bill has also worked as the Owner and CEO of Solergy Power Limited, where they established and managed solar PV power development businesses in Europe. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Consultant at Global Insight, where they acted as an Expert Witness and prepared Expert's Reports for international natural gas price arbitration cases. Before that, they held various roles at Entergy Corp., including Country Manager, Senior Business Development Manager, and Consultant, where they managed the sale of a 2GW portfolio of CCGT projects in Spain and developed fuel supply strategies for power plants. Bill also served as Vice President at IHS Herold and worked as a Business Development Manager at api - anonima petroli italiana, where they originated and managed service station contracts and negotiated crude oil sales. Earlier in their career, they worked at Dow Jones Newswires as an Energy Editor, Italian Bureau Chief, and National Copyreader.

Bill Barnes received their High School Diploma from Notre Dame International School in 1974, where they studied Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities. Bill then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature at Davidson College from 1974 to 1978. In 1979, they enrolled at Queen Mary University of London and completed a Master of Arts degree in English Literature in 1980. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they attended London Business School, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Finance.
