Paul Abernathy

Paul Abernathy, CMECP®, is an accomplished electrical industry professional with extensive experience in leadership and educational roles. Serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Electrical Code Academy, Inc. since June 1989, Paul has developed programs focused on the National Electrical Code, including the Fast Trax® Electrical Exam Preparation Program. Additionally, Paul launched the Certified Electrical Energy Auditor Program as Chief Executive in June 2024. As Executive Director of the Certified Master Electrical Code Professional®, Paul enhances the knowledge and skills of Master Electricians. Paul holds the position of Director of Technical Services at Encore Wire Corp, managing technical operations and holding nine patents. Past roles include serving as Southern Field Representative at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and Code Supervisor for the City of Alexandria. Paul has an advanced diploma in Electricity and a Master of Science in Engineering.
