Christy Harper has a diverse range of work experience in the field of human factors and user research. Christy is currently the Executive at Large-Elect for the HFES - Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, as of 2023. Prior to this position, they were a Co-Owner and Managing Partner at End To End User Research starting from 2017.
Christy also worked at HP for a significant period of time, where they held various roles such as Human Factors Research Manager, UX/HF Research Manager, and Human Factors Researcher. Their responsibilities included managing research teams, contributing to the design and implementation of products, and conducting user-centered design processes. Their tenure at HP spanned from 2002 to 2017.
Before joining HP, Christy worked at Compaq Computers as a Human Factors Engineer, where they worked on improving the search functionality, creating a sales portal, and working on iPAQ diagnostics and support. This role lasted from 2000 to 2002.
Christy Harper obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake between 1988 and 1992. Christy then pursued a Masters in Psychology from the same institution, completed between 1992 and 1994.
