Andrew Quarles van Ufford has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Andrew started their career as a Geologist at ARCO and ARCO International from 1996 until 2000. In 2007, they joined Pioneer Natural Resources Company as a Geoscience Manager for the Permian Basin. During their time there, they oversaw exploration and development evaluation, leading to improvements in well productivity. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the General Manager for Europe Unconventional at Nexen Inc., managing shale gas and tight oil projects in Eastern Poland and pursuing new ventures. Andrew then joined Cuadrilla Resources as the Exploration Director from 2013 to 2017. Currently, they hold leadership roles at Endeavor Energy Resources, LP, including serving as the South Asset/Geoscience Manager from 2017 to 2019, Vice President of North Region Assets from 2019 to the present, and soon to be taking on the role of VP New Ventures in 2023. Overall, Andrew has demonstrated expertise in geology, exploration, and development evaluation throughout their career.
Andrew Quarles van Ufford began their education journey at the American School in London from 1980 to 1985, where they completed their high school education. Andrew then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from Haverford College from 1985 to 1989. After completing their undergraduate studies, they attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1989 to 1996, earning a Ph.D. in Geology. Later, from 2000 to 2002, Andrew pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
