Axel Kersten

Axel Kersten is an experienced media professional currently serving as Produktionsleiter at EndemolShine Germany since August 2023. With a diverse background in production, Axel has held various roles including Freier Autor at u.a. Medien Bulletin since March 2014, and Produktionsleiter at NOISY PICTURES GmbH from July 2020 to August 2023. Previous positions include Produktionskoordinator at Sony Pictures Film und Fernseh Produktions GmbH (January 2015 - July 2020) and Producer at Stör/Element (April 2013 - December 2016). Axel's career began in production management and training at Endemol Deutschland GmbH and ITV Studios Germany, starting as an Auszubildender - Kaufmann für audiovisuelle Medien from August 2003 to February 2006. Axel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Cultural Studies and Economics and Sociology of the Media from the University of Cologne (2009 - 2012) and completed business management training in audiovisual media at Joseph-DuMont-Berufskollegium (2003 - 2006). Additionally, Axel contributed as a Gutachter for the accreditation of the master’s program in "Digital Transformation & Social Responsibility" in July 2018.
