Leigh Zimmermann

Director Of The Outdoor Learning Center at Endless Horizons

Leigh Zimmermann has extensive experience in program management and coordination. They have worked as a Director of the Outdoor Learning Center at Endless Horizons since 2022. Prior to this, Leigh worked as a Program Director at Manidokan Camp & Retreat Center, where they developed programming schedules and facilitated programming for various clients. From 2008 to 2022, Leigh held multiple roles at Consortium for Ocean Leadership, including Assistant Director, Research and Education, and Senior Program Manager. In these roles, they led initiatives, managed budgets, and oversaw grant administration. Before that, Leigh worked as an Outreach Coordinator at Solutions to Avoid Red Tide, Inc., where they managed outreach efforts and coordinated grant programs. They also have experience as a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow at NOAA, where they facilitated workshops and forums.

Leigh Zimmermann earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2003. Leigh then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Marine Sciences at the same university, completing their studies in 2006.
