Mehryar Behizad

Mehryar Behizad has a strong background in regulatory affairs and quality management in the medical device and biopharmaceutical industries. Mehryar started their career at SmithKline Beecham as a Senior Scientist from 1989 to 1991. Mehryar then worked at Muratech Scientific as a Project Director from 1992 to 1993. Mehryar joined ProMetic in 1993 and served as the Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for over 20 years, providing support for more than 170 projects and successfully helping with CE Marking and FDA filings. In 2014, they established Pirus Consulting Ltd, offering independent regulatory and quality consultancy services to the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. Since 2018, they have been the Regulatory Director at Endomag, a high-tech company developing a clinical platform for cancer using safe magnetic fields.

Mehryar Behizad pursued their education at The University of Sheffield, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry from 1977 to 1980. Following this, they continued their studies at the same institution and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioseparation from 1981 to 1985.
