Akash Patel

Akash Patel is an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality, manufacturing, and technology industries. Akash began their career as a Project Manager Consultant at AKS Hospitality in 2018, where they provided project management support for hotel development projects in the northeast. Akash then moved to ProAutomated as a Lead Project Manager and Automation Engineer in the same year, where they served as the Lead project manager for Material Handling Systems and lead Automation engineering teams of 3-5 engineers and 10-15 electricians. In 2017, they returned to AKS Hospitality as a Project Manager and successfully completed a $350,000 hotel renovation project in two months. In 2016, they worked as a Strategic Business Consultant at Campus Watch, LLC., where they performed market trend analysis and created a business plan from an opportunity which lead to the founding of campus watch. In 2014, they joined Freepulse as a Technology Commercialization VP, where they collaborated with a team to design, build, and market a low-cost patient monitor for Rwanda and India. In 2020, they joined Bright Machines as a Technical Project Manager, where they managed a team of 40 people across 8 teams to scope, design, manufacture, and deploy custom software-defined manufacturing solutions utilizing computer vision AI. Finally, Akash Patel is currently employed at ColubrisMX, Inc. as a Project Manager since 2022.

Akash Patel obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin between 2013 and 2017. Akash then completed a Master of Science (MS) in Technology Commercialization from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. In December 2020, Akash Patel obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
