Leonardo Maestri Teixeira

Leonardo Maestri Teixeira began their career as a Researcher for the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in 2008. In 2010, they became the Dean of the Graduate School and Chair of the Bioenergy Department at Faculdade de Tecnologia e Ciências (FTC). In 2011, they were appointed Dean of the Graduate School at Universidade Salvador-UNIFACS (Laureate International Universities). In 2007, they Co-founded GeneWeave Biosciences, where they held the roles of Co-founder and Scientific Advisor, as well as Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer. In 2012, they became the General Manager of ITP, a private research institute, where they were responsible for all growth, sustainability, strategic planning and P&L of the Institute. From 2016-2018, they were the Research Director at Roche, where they started and led a team that established a standard way to develop novel diagnostics in the critical environment. During this same time period, they were also the Angel Investing at Endpoint Ventures and Adjunct Partner at IndieBio. In 2018, they Co-Founded Endpoint Health, Inc. and is currently the Co-Founder and COO.

Leonardo Maestri Teixeira received their Bachelors degree from Universidade Federal de Viçosa in 2002. Leonardo Maestri then went on to receive their MS degree from the same university in 2004. Following this, they earned their PhD in Microbiology from Cornell University in 2009, with minors in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
