Karin Julenius has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Karin started their career as a Ph.D. student at Lunds Tekniska Högskola in 1993 and continued in that role until 1999. Karin then worked as a Staff Scientist in Protein Chemistry at Bioinvent from 1999 to 2001. After that, they served as a Post Doc in Bioinformatics at the Technical University of Denmark from 2002 to 2004. Following this, they worked as an Assistant Professor in Bioinformatics at Karolinska Institutet from 2004 to 2009, where they managed and executed their own research/software projects and gained experience in machine learning. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Researcher in Bioinformatics at Stockholm University, where they managed and executed their own research/software projects. Since 2011, they have been working as a Software Developer at Enea Software AB, where they are responsible for integrator and software development for internal tools, including maintenance and new development of various tools such as testing systems, databases, web-based tools, and software license scanning. Karin also handles scheduling automatic builds and tests and provides administrative support for the systems used.
Karin Julenius has an extensive education history. Karin began their academic journey in 1989 at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. From 1989 to 1993, Karin completed their M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
Continuing their studies, Karin enrolled at Lundby Gymnasium from 1995 to 1998, specializing in the Scientific stream, thereby obtaining their High School diploma.
In 1993, Karin returned to Lund University for their Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, which they completed from 1993 to 1999. During this period, they gained further expertise in the field of Physical Chemistry.
Later, in 2001, Karin embarked on their second Ph.D. journey at Lund University, once again focusing on Physical Chemistry. This Ph.D. program lasted from 2001 to 2002.
Overall, Karin Julenius holds a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, two separate Ph.D.s in Physical Chemistry, and successfully completed their high school education in the Scientific stream.
