Amirreza Poorfakhraei

Principal Engineer at Enedym

Amirreza Poorfakhraei has an extensive work experience in the field of engineering and research. Amirreza is currently employed as a Principal Engineer at Enedym Inc. since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at McMaster University from 2019 to 2022, where they held multiple roles including Ph.D. Student, Research Assistant, and Team Leader. Their responsibilities included leading a group of students in a project, building a compact electric vehicle inverter, and designing control circuits. Amirreza also served as a Teaching Assistant and Course Creator during their time at McMaster University.

Before joining McMaster University, Amirreza worked as an Engineer at the University of Tehran in 2019. Amirreza also served as a Part-time Instructor at Abrar Institute of Higher Educations from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Engineer and Team Leader at Power Electronics Lab. from 2016 to 2018.

Amirreza's earliest work experience was as a Research Assistant at Sharif University of Technology from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they implemented a 1 kW wireless charger system as part of their M.Sc. thesis, which had high efficiency and misalignment compensation capability.

Throughout their career, Amirreza has published two journal papers focusing on reviewing multilevel inverters in the application of electric vehicles.

Amirreza Poorfakhraei pursued their education in the field of Power Electronics and Motor Drives. Amirreza completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Sharif University of Technology in 2014. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Wireless Power Transmission in 2016. In 2019, Amirreza joined McMaster University to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Power Electronics and Motor Drives, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
