Gayan Amaradasa

Gayan Amaradasa has a diverse work experience spanning several positions and industries. Gayan is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Enedym Inc., starting in April 2022. Prior to this, they were a Ph.D. Candidate at McMaster University from January 2019 to March 2022. Gayan also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba from September 2017 to December 2018. Prior to pursuing their Ph.D., they worked as an Electrical Engineer Research and Development at SL Mobility Pvt Ltd from May 2016 to July 2017. Gayan gained experience in web development as the Head of Web and Technology at Moraspirit Initiative from January 2015 to December 2015, and as a Web Developer from January 2013 to December 2014. Gayan began their career as a Trainee Electrical Engineer at Diesel and Motor Pvt Ltd Power Solutions from January 2015 to April 2015, and at Ceylon Electricity Board from October 2014 to December 2014. Early in their career, they worked as a Java Software Developer at Freelancer.com until January 2013. From 2019 to 2022, Gayan attended McMaster University, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Machines.

In 2017 to 2018, they studied at the University of Manitoba and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Machines and Drives.

From 2011 to 2015, Gayan attended the University of Moratuwa, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

In 2010 to 2011, they studied at the IJSE-Institute of Software Engineering and completed coursework in Software Engineering.

Beginning in 1997 and until 2010, Gayan studied at Siridhamma College.

In addition to their formal education, Gayan Amaradasa has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they became an Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer. In 2012, they obtained the Oracle Certified Expert, Java EE 6 Web Component Developer certification from Oracle.
