Wayne Clarke has over 30 years of work experience, starting with their role as a Vehicle & Equipment NCO in the Canadian Forces from 1991 to 2009. Wayne then worked as a Fleet Safety Manager at Sysco Edmonton from 2009 to 2011. After that, they joined Paradox Access Solutions Inc. as a Health & Safety Manager from 2011 to 2015. Wayne then worked at Frac Shack International Inc. as an HSE Manager from 2015 to 2016, and later as a Senior HSE Manager at Frac Shack International Inc. and Frac Shack America Inc. from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, they became the Director of HSE at Frac Shack Inc., where they remained until their current role as VP of Operational Risk at Energera Inc.
Wayne Clarke, CD, MBA has a diverse education history spanning several fields of study. In 1990, they earned a Diploma in Architectural Drafting from Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC. From 1991 to 2009, Wayne pursued further education in Logistics / HSE through the Department of National Defence. In 2011, they obtained a Certificate in Canadian Regional Management Training from a private institution. In 2012, Wayne earned a Health & Safety designation, NCSO, from the Alberta Construction Safety Association.
Continuing their education, Wayne completed the Leadership Development Program Certificate from the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta in 2016. Wayne then obtained a Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of New Brunswick in 2014. In 2015, Wayne furthered their knowledge by completing a Certificate in Emergency Management through the Government of Alberta.
In 2016, Wayne pursued a Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of New Brunswick, which they earned in 2018. That same year, they attended the Ivey Business School at Western University for the Ivey Leadership Program. Wayne also completed a Certificate in Oil and Gas Safety and Health (OGOP 110) at the Rocky Mountain Education Center in Denver, CO in 2017.
Wayne's highest academic achievement came from the Alberta School of Business, University of Alberta, where they obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from 2019 to 2021.
Additionally, Wayne obtained a certification named "Ivey Leadership Program" from The Ivey Academy - Executive Education - Ivey Business School in November 2018.
