Ryan Ciufo

Ryan Ciufo is a Data Science Manager and Machine Learning Scientist at Energetics Technology Center (ETC) since August 2022. Prior to this role, Ryan served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2015 to July 2022, where research focused on developing machine learning methods for interatomic potentials and studying materials related to energy and climate concerns. Ryan's academic journey includes extensive research as a Graduate Research Assistant, with projects on catalysis, surface science, and the synthesis of materials for gas sorption and capture applications. Ryan also has experience as an Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry Teaching Assistant, a Lab Assistant at Marist College, and a peer tutor at Dutchess Community College. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Marist College.
