Lauren Giles

Lauren Giles has over 20 years of work experience in the energy industry. Lauren currently works at Energetics as a Program Director, a position they have held since February 2020. Prior to this role, they were a Program Manager from February 2019 to January 2020 and a Project Manager Team Lead from June 2006 to January 2019. Lauren'searliest position at Energetics was as an Energy Analyst from June 2000 to May 2006.

Before joining Energetics, Lauren worked at Beacon Energy as an Analyst, where they conducted market assessments, analyzed power and gas price forecasts, and assessed regulatory policies. Lauren also contributed to competitive benchmarking studies and due diligence reports. Additionally, they helped prepare energy management/fuel plans and maintained the company's website during their time there.

Lauren's previous experience includes working at Exeter Associates as an Economist/Research Analyst. In this role, they assisted in the analysis of electric utility and telecommunications regulatory issues, prepared exhibits for testimony, and contributed to productivity studies and quantitative modeling. Lauren also represented Maryland's Department of Natural Resources at industry restructuring meetings focused on Demand Side Management and Universal Service.

Lauren Giles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Economics from Penn State University between 1994 and 1998.
