Matt VanSlyke, PTP, is an experienced professional with a strong background in transportation planning, community development, and non-profit management. Currently serving as Principal Analyst at Energetics since December 2019, Matt addresses complex challenges in the transportation energy landscape. As Executive Director of Utica Bike Rescue since July 2013, Matt leads a community bicycle shop focused on repair, maintenance, and safety instruction. In addition, Matt has held the position of President at Homegrown Services, Inc., managing bicycle tours and municipal projects. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Planner for the Herkimer-Oneida Counties Transportation Study and Program Administrator for the NYS Office of Community Renewal. Matt holds a Master of Regional Planning from the University at Albany, SUNY, and dual Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in Environmental Science from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
