Rainer Hoffmann

Rainer Hoffmann is a seasoned professional in data and analytics, currently serving as Chief Data Officer and Head of Data and Analytics Excellence at EnBW since March 2013. Hoffmann has held several roles at EnBW, including Senior Manager Digital Transformation - Data & AI and Project Manager/Product Owner for Algorithmic Trading. In addition to industry experience, Hoffmann is an academic lecturer in Managerial and Responsible Artificial Intelligence at ESMT Berlin and in Responsible Artificial Intelligence at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Hoffmann also contributes to the Responsible AI Expert Panel at MIT Sloan Management Review. Educational qualifications include a Dr. rer. pol. in Operations Research from KIT and a Diplom in Industrial Engineering, along with studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Toronto.
