Klaus Winther

Klaus Winther has extensive work experience in the energy sector. Klaus started their career as an Engineer at Elsam in 1999 and later became the Head of the dispatch center at Elsam Kraft A/S from 2001 to 2006. Klaus then worked at Vattenfall as the Head of planning and project development from 2005 to 2009, where they were responsible for project development, asset management, production prognosis, and analysis of production. From 2014 to 2017, Klaus Winther served as the Technical Director at Energi Fyn. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of System Operations at Energinet, which they started in 2017.

Klaus Winther holds a B.sc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus, which they earned from 1993 to 1997. Klaus then pursued an M.sc degree in Energy Planning from Aalborg University, from 1997 to 1999. Later, from 2000 to 2005, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
