Michael Plesner Østergaard

Michael Plesner Østergaard has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1992 as a Salesperson at SAV Danmark A/S. Michael Plesner then went on to work at Unimerco A/S, where they held various roles including Director of Sales & Group Purchasing and Assistent to the CEO. In 2005, they became the Manager of Purchasing, Logistics, and IT at CMP Furniture A/S.

In 2009, Østergaard joined SE as the Director of Product Management and later became the Director of the PMI Office (Post Merger Integration Office), responsible for overseeing the merger process between SE Group and Stofa.

Michael Plesner then joined Stofa A/S as the Vice President of Stofa BtB, where they focused on setting a new strategic direction for the division and improving profitability.

Moving on to SE again in 2014, Østergaard became the Vice President and Managing Director of Evonet/n1 A/S (Norlys Power Grid), where they successfully carried out a turnaround of the company through process optimization and digitalization.

In 2015, they joined Dansk Energi as a Member of Netudvalget (Committee of Power Grid Executives), and in 2017, they served as a Board Member at Branchefællesskab for Intelligent Energi.

In 2020, Østergaard became the Chief Commercial Officer at SKY-LIGHT A/S before joining Energinet in 2021 as the Vice President of Engineering & Design.

Michael Plesner Østergaard completed an MBA in Business Management from the University of Glasgow in 1995-1996. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in International Business from London South Bank University in 1994-1995. In 1990-1992, they studied Marketing Management at Erhvervsakademi SydVest (Business Academy South West), earning a degree in Markedsøkonom.
