Peter Markussen

Peter Markussen has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Peter served as the Managing Director at Energinet starting in June 2020 and was responsible for the strategy and market development of flexibility and ancillary services in Denmark. Prior to that, they held various positions at DONG Energy Thermal Power, including Director of Technology Solutions, Director of Strategy, Senior Manager, and Strategy and Business Analyst. In these roles, they led teams and was involved in business development projects, market analysis, strategy, and investment analysis for wind power and heat and power stations. Overall, Peter has extensive experience in technology development, increasing efficiency, and driving strategic initiatives in the energy sector.

Peter Markussen studied at Aarhus University from 1995 to 2001, earning a Master's degree in Political Science and Government.
